Citymothers was founded by Louisa Symington-Mills in late 2012, with the aim of providing a networking forum for working mothers. In April 2014, Cityfathers was launched to provide a similar offering for working fathers. In November 2015, the website was rebranded Cityparents to reflect our fully inclusive ethos and the diversity of our member base.
Today, we are a friendly, dynamic and award-winning network for all professionals – not just parents. Our current membership base includes nearly 15,000 professionals who want a progressive career appropriately balanced with home commitments and responsibilities. Our physical Network Events are centered in London – mainly in the City and Canary Wharf – however our Webinars enable any professional / working parent from across the UK to access our content.
Managing a tough job alongside home/family responsibilities creates numerous challenges: the Cityparents team all have corporate backgrounds and understand these issues, and through a busy schedule of careers, families, tech and wellbeing events are able to offer members access to practical resources, inspiration and motivation, and peer support.
